善良，忠诚，和蔼，自控 Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control

 

在中国生活时，对教堂教会知道和了解得很少，只觉得教堂是个神秘稀奇的地方，而教友去教堂只是去忏悔自己的过失，祈祷自己的欲望成真。
 
在欧洲旅游时，对教堂多是敬仰精湛建筑工艺。觉得教堂是个雄伟庄严，深不可测，闲人免进的地方。
 
在北美居住，开始接触教堂，探索其神秘的面纱，寻找适合自己的教会。跟着感觉走，我找到了适合自己心灵的归宿－基督教会。
 
北美大陆的历史没有欧洲悠久，教堂自然没有欧洲的雄伟精致，但同是一本圣经，无论精装版还是普通版，内容都是一样的，只是讲解的人不同，领悟到的人也自然不同。
 
对于我崇尚自由的性格来说，基督教比较适合。在教会里，大家一起学习，一起感悟，一起分享，使自己的心灵得到平静的升华。这里不仅是祈祷和忏悔的地方，而且是学习和分享的大家庭。我所属的教会每个星期都有很多丰富多彩的活动，很多圣经小组的学习和讨论活动，而这些活动都是可以根据自己的需要随意参加的。
 
很多国内的朋友想了解基督教会都做些什么？都学些什么？基督教徒在一起都干些什么？

无论天主教还是基督教，每个教派都有很多分支。主要是看教会的牧师和组织者的信仰和处事方法。我所属的基督教会并不代表所有北美的教会都有如此多的活动，都如此活跃，也不代表所有教会都是这样学习圣经的。我喜欢这个教会，是因为它自由民主，组织有条理，组织者讲效率，环境整齐干净，牧师的讲义简洁明了，大多数教友热情温暖。

什么是 Goodness？
 
中文解释：善良
 
英文解释：
benevolence（善）, friendliness（友好）, generosity（慷慨大方）,  graciousness（贤淑）, kindness（善良）, mercy（仁慈），honesty（诚实）,  integrity（诚信）, probity（廉洁）, righteousness（公义）, uprightness（正直）, virtue（美德）. 
 
圣经解释：
1，To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8)
（行事公正，好怜悯，谦虚）
 
2，Come and share your master's happiness. (Matthew 25:21)
（分享快乐）
 
3, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you. (Luke 6:27)
（爱你的敌人，对那些恨你的人做好事）
 
4, Do not be overcome by evil, but over come evil with good. (Romans 12:21)
（不要被邪恶摆布，以善胜恶）
 
5, Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. （不要厌倦做好事，只要不放弃，我们一定会得到一份收获）
 
 
什么是Faithfulness?

圣经解释：
1, For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. (Psalm 37:28)
